Delete your Trakoras account
Last updated: April 27, 2026
Trakoras lets you delete your account and all associated data at any
time. Deletion is permanent and immediate — there is no recovery
and no waiting period. This page explains both how to delete the
whole account and how to remove individual data without closing
your account.
Account deletion is irreversible. All your vehicles,
location history, trips, share links, geofences, push tokens, and
session data will be permanently destroyed. You can sign up again
with the same email afterwards, but you will start from a fresh,
empty Free-tier account.
Option A — Delete your entire account from inside the app
- Open the Trakoras app on any phone where you are signed in.
- Tap the menu icon (top-right of the home screen).
- Scroll to the bottom and find the red Danger zone section.
- Tap Delete account.
- Read the confirmation dialog listing exactly what will be erased.
- Type
DELETE in capital letters into the confirmation field.
- Tap Delete forever.
The app will call our server, erase everything tied to your account
in a single atomic transaction, log you out, stop the foreground
tracking service if it was running, and return you to the welcome
screen.
Option B — Email request
If the in-app flow is unavailable to you (for example, you no longer
have access to the phone or have already uninstalled the app), email
ydeonia@gmail.com
from the email address registered with your account. We will:
- Verify your request from the registered email address.
- Run the same server-side deletion within 7 business days.
- Reply to confirm completion.
Option C — Delete only some of your data
You don't have to close your account to remove data:
-
Remove a single vehicle (and all its location
history, share links, geofences): in the dashboard, tap the
⋮ button on a vehicle card → Remove
vehicle.
-
Revoke a share link without removing the vehicle:
⋮ → Revoke share link.
-
Remove a geofence: ⋮ → Geofence
→ Remove.
What is deleted when you delete your account
- Your account email and any plan record.
- Every vehicle tied to your account.
- All location samples (lat/lng/speed/heading) for those vehicles.
- All share codes you generated.
- All geofences and their state.
- All Firebase Cloud Messaging push tokens registered to your account.
- All active sessions on every device.
- Any pending pair codes or one-time passcodes.
- Your plan-change audit history.
What is retained after account deletion
Nothing personally identifying. Server logs may contain transient
operational records (e.g., "[user:delete] id=N email=… devices=…
locations=…") which are part of normal systemd journald rotation and
are pruned automatically per the host's log retention policy
(typically 30 days). These logs do not contain location data, share
codes, or PINs.
